Orchard Walk

Want to see how we grow our different crops – come for a meander round our fields with our expert grower and see the wide variety of fruit and vegetables all at different stages and how our soil and water regimes interact to give you tasty food. Learn the best way to pick and store different fruit and vegetables and taste what is in season. Each walk will vary depending on the time of year.

 

The cost is £10 person or £25 per bell tent

 

 

Little Growers Experience

Children love growing things and we want to encourage them. We will go for a short walk around the crops and show them what the plants of different fruit and vegetables look like when they are growing. We will be tasting as well to show how much better freshly picked fruit and vegetables taste. We will help them pot up a Bells Farm Shop plant to take home with them to transplant into your garden –  a strawberry plant, bean or potato for example depending on the time of year.

 

The cost is £5 per child (under 8’s to be accompanied by an adult)

Cherries and Apricots meet the Grower – Limited season July and August only

Visit our Cherry and Apricot (Yes you can grow apricots in the UK!) orchard a short 15 minute drive away from the Glamping site in the company of our expert grower and learn the secrets of growing amazing cherries and apricots. Pick your own Cherries and Apricots fresh from the tree. Only available when in season

 

The cost is £10 per person or £35 per bell tent

Fishing Experience

Cherished memories of fishing as a child? Recreate them by borrowing our fishing rods and enjoying the beautiful tranquil surroundings of one of our fishing lakes. This is a short 15 minute drive from our Glamping site at our other farm. We will provide you with rods, a keep net and bait but you do need to have a fishing licence if you are 13 or over (You can easily buy a rod fishing licence online at gov.uk – a 1 day licence is £6 or an 8 day licence is £12 for adults, 13 to 16 year olds need a licence but it is free). Why not make a day of it with one of our Bells Farm Shop Picnic hampers?
